The Public Record
This site is a public-records repository on the US trucking industry, built from court records, government filings and other public documents. Its scope is the industry broadly: organized carrier networks, fraud prosecutions, crashes and the findings of the National Transportation Safety Board, insurance and financing schemes, and cargo theft cases. Records are organized into investigation clusters โ groups of companies, people, cases and documents that the record connects to one another. It is a reading room, not a news wire: each page states what the record shows, names the source, and says plainly where the record is incomplete. It is not a database of accusations, not a watchlist, and not a substitute for a court's judgment. Where a person or company appears here, the page states its legal status in plain terms, and where two records may or may not describe the same person, the page says so.
